We got her from the P.A.R.L. yesterday.  She's 7 months old and super snuggly.  Moxie is tolerating her pretty well.   We'll see how they fare today while no one's home!

Lighthouse Santa Rocks!

Braved the cold today to see Lighthouse Santa and it was totally worth it.  The little tree in the dinghy is just too freakin' cute.

Some Liv highlights:

About 2 weeks ago she insisted that we address her as 'Emily'. "Emily Schroder sounds much better than Olivia Schroder." We told her no, she proceeded to quibble with us for the rest of the day and then the next morning all was forgotten. I'm still not clear on where she got the name Emily from.

Tonight she insisted that she's turning into a mermaid. I blame the horrible HORRIBLE movie she saw on Disney a couple of weeks ago. (Dave Coulier is in it so that should give you a hint as to how bad it is.) She told me that while in the pool today at camp she felt her feet sticking together, almost like a fin. And then in the grocery store she said that she thinks scales are appearing on her hands and that she better get into water as soon as possible. She's wondering if she has another "mermaid mother".

Pet Update

In a bizarre turn of events Ryan is no longer with us. Not sure how or why but the poor little guy passed away yesterday. Needless to say, Liv was heartbroken and most of all confused. I personally think that he was sick with something even before we got him. When we went back to the pet store to see if we could get another guinea pig there were only 2 there (compared to the 12+ they had last week) and the price was reduced. Not sure what happened to them but I find it hard to believe that they had a run on guinea pigs over the past 9 days.

So, in a twist of fate we ended up bringing home the fluffiest ball of cuteness. A 3 month-old mini-lop. Her name is "Sabella...or you can call her Stella". I've been calling her Sabella but Liv's been calling her both and added a third name (Bella) while on the phone with my mom this morning. At this point I'm thinking Ella may be the best bet since it covers all three. And now for your cuteness overload...

Milo has been jonesing for some outdoor action so Liv supervised him in the yard today. He was more interested in chomping on the grass than running away. (I'm certain I'll be stepping in green puke at some point tonight.)

KHS Award

Super short, but cute, clip of Liv receiving the KHS Award at school. She was nominated for being KHS - Kind, Hardworking and Safe. I like the little nose crunch she does at the very end!

(And yes, I realize that this little doozy of a clip leaves a lot to be desired in terms of my video career.)
